Matt Matsuda was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He received a bass guitar for Christmas 2003 from his Father which quickly turned into his new obsession, which then turned into a burning desire. His friend Flash Bathory moved from Sacramento to Los Angeles to further her music carreer and they decided then and there that one day they would come together and start a band. About three years later she moved to Austin, Texas while Matt was in Sacramento gigging with bands and giving lessons. Immediately following his high school graduation he drove to Austin to start this revolutionary band with best friend/virtuoso Flash Bathory, and signed to Tregan Guitars (www.treganguitars.com) shortly after getting into town. On September 3rd, 2008, two monthes after Matt got to Austin Flash Bathory passed away. He's soon going to be re-locating around the world to form a band with talented, dedicated musicians; keep an eye out for him.
